Wilf Kroucher 4 vs Loko 1

EXPERIMENTAL LOKO TEAM LOSE THEIR WAY IN THE SECOND HALF
Terry shows off his Poland Man of The Tournament trophy
Before the game, Terry was presented with his Man of the Tournament trophy in recognition of his excellent performance during the May tournament in Poland.

Manager Terry was also in the spotlight before the game due to his split loyalty between his Saturday team (Wilf Kroucher) and his Sunday team (Loko).

In the pre-match talk, Loko were warned about Wilf Kroucher's speed and overall physical play and skills.

However, in the first half Loko more than held their own on a smooth 3G surface. Under the guidance of seasoned Roger and with the help of Terry's and Diego's bursts through the midfield, Loko were keeping Wilf Kroucher under control and launching attacks from the back with Issam and Lawrence pushing forward at every opportunity.

Yet the opposition made us pay dearly for our gung-ho approach on 29 minutes when their left winger found himself unmarked on our right wing and lobbed oncoming John from 30 yards out.

Wilf Kroucher 1 vs Loko 0

Loko didnt give up though and on 37 minutes ISSAM won the ball 15 yards away from their goal, passed to Diego down the wing who passed the ball back to Issam just inside the box who curved his shot to the right of their keeper and into the roof of the net.

Half time: Wilf Kroucher 1 vs Loko 1

The second half saw Wilf Kroucher hit Loko on the break time and time again. Loko were losing their shape and got caught out of position several times.

Wilf Kroucher punished Loko with three goals. The first one saw their unmarked number 6 sub slam the ball past John from 15 yards out. The second one was a burst through the midfield by their hard working number 8 and who shot through the middle whilst the 3rd one saw their number 6 again chance a shot from 20 yards out that wrong-footed John and trickled into the net.

From then on, our opposition let their best fitness levels get the better of a makeshift Loko who gave a good account of themselves - in the first half in particular - despite missing half of their regulars.

Man of the match: TERRY who was his energetic self and tried to create chances. Special mention to John for his commanding presence in goal and being in no way responsible for the 4 goals.

Line-up: John - Issam, Ivan, Drew, Lawrence - Alex, Ismail, Roger - Terry, Diego, Andy (various roll-on/off substitutions using Andre and Craig)
