Barnesalona League
London Bloods 1 v Lokomotiv Londres FC 2
Roger's Brace Takes Three Points
A superb team performance rightly brought the team three points against high flying London Bloods. The team started with Dave (pictured) in goal, a back four of Eirik, Adrian, Steve and PJ. A midfield quartet of Stephen, Peggy, Andrea and Pete, with Roger and James up front. Aidan and Nick started on the bench.

Unfortunately for all the Loko pressure it was Bloods who took the lead after twenty minutes, PJ dwelt on the ball a little too long and the striker nipped in to steal it off his toes and slot it in.
Loko responded well and equalised after half an hour when Peggy got down the right and swung in a great cross, Roger got in front of his man and nodded the ball home down the centre of the goal.
The pressure continued and just before half time Pete had a long range effort and James had a couple of misses, and the boys went in all square but on top.
Half-Time London Bloods 1 v Loko 1
Roger didn't make any changes at half time and was looking for more of the same in the second half, with Aidan and Nick looking hungary for some action on the sideline.
Loko deservedly took the lead after fifty five minutes when Pete got a shot away from the edge of the box which cannoned off a defender and into the path of Roger to slot home.
This signalled the chance to make some changes with both subs coming on within five minutes, Nick for Adrian and Aidan for Eirik.
The rest of the game went by with the defence of Loko thoroughly on top and controlling the game, the back four playing superbly and limiting Bloods to relatively little possession and chances. The midfield harried well and the strikers made some intelligent runs, all in all a great three points.

Manager Dale Mellor's comments:
"I was obviously away this weekend but from what I have heard it was a fantastic performance and we should have won by more. Let's look to take this performance forward and get a bit of consistency. I want us to start leathering the shots at the keeper as we seem to want to place it every time, lets use a bit of power in our shots and make the keeper work.
Well done, and let's get a consecutive victory this coming weekend in the cup."
