Player Profile: David Whittaker

Age: 32
Position: Mid CL

Q. What scared you most as a child?
A. Cabbage.

Q. Who did you support as a child and who were you favourite players?
A. Had a soft spot for Aston Villa - I was a child and knew no better. Loved a bit of Tony Daley, I wanted to be like him when I grew up, and but for a lack of speed, skill, basic ability and so on...

Q.What's the funniest thing that has happened to you during a match?
A. I take my football very seriously - even if something funny happened, I wouldn't find it funny.

Q. What's the worst thing anyone has ever done or said to you?
A. "Are you a boy or a girl or what?"

Q. What makes you laugh and why?
A. The fact that I go to pieces every time I find myself in front of goal with the ball at my feet - if I didn't laugh I'd cry.

Q. What talent do you wish you had?
A. Making a decent fried egg sandwich.

Q. What is your best physical feature?
A. My left shoulder blade!

Q. What do you most dislike about your physical apperance?
A. The fact that I can never see my left shoulder blade - I've heard it's a beauty...!?!!

Q. How do you think other people see you?
A. Funny (ha-ha, and / or peculiar).

Q. And how do you see yourself?
A. God's gift.

Q. What do you consider your biggest attribute as a player?
A. My ability to keep my eyes open when I head the ball. It's new for me and I'm proud of it, took a lot of hard work.

Q. What is your favourite way of relaxing?
A. Crack, smack and a bit of crochet.

Q. Who do you knock around with from Loko and why?
A. James and Pete, because they let me - also have a weekly game of 5-a-side with them and Peggy.
